Here are some more holiday gift ideas. I kinda just lumped these together as “random” because to be honest they are quite random. I think most of these would make great stocking suffers or are good ideas for a Secret Santa or Kris Kringle type of gift exchange.
Pampering Goodies- Slippers, pajamas, body wash, hand soap, and lotion are all cute and affordable gifts. I purchased a bunch of the winter hand soap from Bath and Body Works during a sale (7 for $28) and a pair of super cute foxy lady fox slippers. The deep cleansing hand soaps featured in the picture below are (from left to right): Winter Candy Apple, Salted Caramel, Twisted Peppermint, Iced Gingerbread and Merry Cookie. All of these smell delicious and are great gifts because they are festive, yet practical, because everybody uses hand soap. They had the slippers up at the cash register and they are so freaking cute. They also had polar bears! These slippers are a great gift for people with cold feet and/or animal lovers.
Sunglasses- I am obsessed with these violet Ray-Ban Aviators. These are a pricey gift, but if they are not in your budget you can always purchase a less expensive pair of sunglasses. Just make sure you know what shape and style sunglasses will suit the style and face shape of the recipient of the sunglasses!
Mug+hot chocolate- I was given this lovely gift basket with 2 mugs and some Second Cup White Hot Chocolate as a housewarming gift. I think that this would make an excellent holiday gift and can easily be personalized to the recipients tastes. My husband loves superheros, so the Superman mug was for him and the beautiful girly mug was for me. You could even get a personalized mug or a photo mug made. You can obviously switch out the white hot chocolate for the recipients favourite drink: coffee, tea, hot apple cider etc.
Cards Against Humanity- I was also given this as a house warming gift and it is such a fun game to play. It is hilarious, inappropriate, and very entertaining. I purchased this game to give to a family member for Christmas, and I know they are going to love it. I recommend this for anybody who enjoys inappropriate humour, or for anybody who enjoys hosting, because this is a great party game.
Alcohol- One of the greatest gifts of all is alcohol! There are a lot of great gift sets available this time of year, just make sure you know the the recipient does consume alcohol (and is of legal age!) and know what type of alcohol they enjoy. If you are unsure of what type of alcohol they like (beer, wine, champagne, vodka etc.) a gift card is always a great gift. Here are some gifts I picked up at the LCBO for people on my gift-giving list:
Crown Royal Maple Leaf Gift Pack- $33.75 Special Edition Crown Royal Canadian Whisky with 2 Toronto Maple Leaf logo glasses. I couldn’t find a link for this product on the LCBO website, but I literally purchased this yesterday (December 3rd) at the LCBO. The item # is 287011 if you’re interested.
Crystal Head Vodka- $54.95 Smooth Vodka in a glass skull bottle.
Amsterdam Brewery Entertainer Winter Pack– $9.95 4 pack of beer from Toronto’s Amsterdam Brewery: Natural Blonde, Big Wheel Deluxe Amber, Downtown Brown & Boneshaker IPA.
Hopefully my random gift guide gave you some ideas to help you with your holiday shopping, or at the very least gave you ideas of things you would like to add to your own wish list! Please let me know in the comments below what you would love to receive as a gift for the holidays!
